Prom Dresses and Looking Wonderful On the Picture

Prom Dresses and make-up often carry out your look, so always decide on your colors thoroughly.
You wouldn't want to see your prom photograph and dispose of it soon after.
No one wants to keep an embarrassing photograph so, make sure that you try on the make up look you wish to have on for the prom and take a photo with it and see if that is the look you're targeting.
Every make-up look has a distinctive purpose.

For your prom, you would like to ensure you have make-up that will last the entire night and make up which will make you look wonderful on the photo also.

First and foremost, before applying anything on the face, ensure that your face is neat and moisturized.
The night before, you should use a mask, one that you've applied before so you feel extra renewed before the big evening. Making preparations throughout the day will probably be difficult enough, therefore remove stress where you can. After cleaning your face, use an even coating of basic foundation - you would like it to fit the color of your skin, and using a slightly tinted foundation can provide those pale faces a much more bright look.

But never over apply - "The Less, the Better." One of my own peeves is makeup foundation traces (i.e.

, round the neck-line) - so ensure that it is all totally blended.
It may help if you use a well-lit place whenever you do your makeup. Work with a cover-up to mark out any unwanted spots.
If you've got decent skin, try using just a small amount of liquid foundation on your forehead and cheeks.
This makes you appear less "phony".
Trying working with a loose or packed powder in order that your cover-up and makeup foundation remains in place longer.
I love to use loose mineral powder when I'm getting ready at home and packed powder to touch up my make-up while I'm on the occasion.
Try to highlight your forehead, the bridge of your nose, the cupid's bow of your lip, the brow bone as well as the cheekbones. These are generally the areas of the face which come out flat on photos and high lighting these will bring out the best characteristics in the photo. For the cupids bow on the lip area, you can use a white eye liner pencil.
For the face, use a white matte eye shadow or an incandescent, sparkly or pearlized white/light yellow eye shadow along with a highlighting brush.

Make sure it's blended well using a sponge or a brush so that zero hard lines will show in the photo.

Try to really make it look as natural as possible.

Still unsure about your look? Have a "test run" just before prom night.
Put make-up on the face, put on your gown, do your hair, and take a peek in a full-length mirror. Get yourself a second opinion.
Neither your gown neither your makeup should stick out in an overpowering way.

If the outfit is sequined or shimmery, match it with a toned-down makeup job.

If the dress is simple in color and/or style, you have a little more flexibility to work with bright, glittery cosmetics. Experiment with your make-up, make sure you have a great time making the appearance that's right for you!
